"نتایج بدست آمده از بررسیهائی که در خصوص بازرگانی خارجی کشورها بعمل آمده نشان میدهد که یکی از عمدهترین دلیلهای افزایش سهم کشورهای رو به توسعه در بازرگانی بینالمللی افزایش تولیدات کارخانهای در بازرگانی جهانی است که در سال 1993 حدود بیست درصد یا دو برابر یک دهه پیش و چهار بار بیش از سال 1963 بوده است.
درصد سهم کشورهای در حال توسعه در بازرگانی بینالمللی (به تصویر صفحه مراجعه شود) نکته دیگری که توجه به آن درخور اهمیت است این که واردات و صادرات کشورهای رو به توسعه به گونهای بسیار ناخوشایند وابسته به بازرگانی جهانی است،بویژه در زمینه مواد خام و اولیه که تقاضا،واقعا تحت فشار و رکود،در کشورهای رو به توسعه حاکم بوده است.
در سنجش دادههای اقتصاد بینالملل بویژه آمار و ارقام مبادلات بازرگانی جهانی ملاحظه میشود که در کشورهای رو به توسعه،نرخ رشد بازرگانی خارجی آنها در این دوره رقمی در حدود ده درصد بوده و به سرعت افزایش یافته است."
