بزرگانی چون:مارک تواین،تئودور درایزر، جان اشتاین بک،ویلیام فالکنر،لنگستون هیوز،آلیس واکر،تونی موریسون،رالف آلیسون و ریچارد رایت هرکدام به اندازهء توان هنری و از دریچه بینش سیاسی اجتماعی خویش،لایههایی از سیاهکشی آمریکایی را بازتابی جاودانه بخشیدهاند تا وجدانهای هماره زنده دریابند که تمدن سرمایهداری امپریالیستی ایالات متحده آمریکا،از آنرو هرگز روی آرامش و نیکبختی را به خود ندیده،که ستونها و دیوارهایش با خون و استخوان سرخپوستان و سیاهپوستان ساخته و پرداخته شده است."
