اما این اثر-مبانی نقد ادبی-ترجمهای از, A Handbook of Critical Approaches to Literature نوشتۀ چند تن از اساتید ادبیات انگلیسی دانشگاههایآمریکا است که پیش از این در سال 1370 با نام راهنمایرویدکرهای نقد ادبی و به ترجمۀ زهرا میهنخواه چاپ شدهبود.
این اثر از میان مباحث بر شمرده،به مبحثروشن شناسی نقد ادبی پرداخته و مؤلفان آن،کتاب را باعناوینی بر گرفته از نام چند شیوه از شیوههای نقد ادبیفصل بندی کردهاند و در 6 فصل به صورت خلاصه ومفید-نه جامع و مانع-خطوط کلی 6 شیوۀ عمدۀ نقدادبی(تاریخی-زندگینامهای،اخلاقی-فلسفی،شکلگرایانه،روان شناختی،اسطوره شناختی و نمود گرایانه)راارائه کردهاند.
مؤلفان هر فصل را به دو بخش تقسیم کردهاند،دربخش نخست به ماهیت نظریۀ مورد نظر پرداختهاند و دربخش دوم با بهرهگیری از دیدگاههای همان نظریۀانتقادی طرح شده،در بررسی 4 اثر-از 4 گونۀ ادبی-ازادبیات انگلیس و آمریکا،سعی در روشن کردن هر چهبهتر جنبههای نظری و آشکار کردن جنبههای کاربردیهر یک از رویکردها داشتهاند.
مترجم این کتاب نیزافزون بر ترجمۀ روانی که از متن ارائه کرده،ازاصطلاحات ادبی مورد نیاز،2 واژه نامۀ انگلیسی بهفارسی،و فارسی به انگلیسی تهیه کرده و آن را بهاطلاعاتی که مؤلفان در بخش فرهنگ اصطلاحات آخرکتاب در اختیار خواننده قرار دادهاند،افزوده است.
ناگفته نماند که«آیتی»میتوانست«رندا»را همراه باتوضیحاتی بیشتر دربارۀ داستان نویسان مجموعه،وضیعت فعلی ادبیات داستانی در سوریه و نقد هر داستانبه مجموعهای گیراتر مبدل سازد."
