"بدین بیان روشن میشود که ‹‹ ابن حجر ›› معتقد به علم اولیاء به غیب است هر چند با شیعه که معتقد به قدرت ائمه (ع) بر علم به حوادث کائنه و کلیه وقایع تا روز قیامت است، موافق نیست، زیرا ابن حجر معتقد است این مقدار و وسعت مختص به خداوند است ولی ملاکی که ایشان در زمینه معرفت اولیاء به بعض غیب ارائه نمود یعنی افاضه وقوف به غیب از جانب خداوند، اعتقاد شیعه را تایید میکند، چرا که اگر میزان وقوف بر امور غیبی بواسطه قدرت خداوند متعال و قرار دادن این ملکه نوری در این ذوات خاصه از آل رسول (ص) باشد، امکان رسیدن این قوت و افاضه در مورد ایشان به بالاترین حد آن و عدم توقف تا افاضه جمیع امور غیبی بطوریکه کل اشیاء نزد ایشان تا حد تعبیر امام صادق (ع): ‹‹ اللهم الا الاشیاء التی استاشر بها الله تعالی وحده ››، وجود دارد.
›› همچنین ابن ابی الحدید در کتاب دیگری اینگونه نوشته است: ‹‹ لا منافاه` بین قوله تعالی و ماتدری نفس ماذاتکسب غدا و بین علمه (ص) بفتح مکه و ما سیکون من قتال الناکثین و القاسطین و المارقین فان الایه` غایه` ما تدل علیه نفی العلم بما یکون فی الغد و اما اذا کان باعلام الله عزوجل فلا، فانه یجوز ان یعلم الله نبیه بمایکون ››(3) یعنی ‹‹ منافاتی بین آیه ‹‹ و ما تدری نفس ماذا تکسب غدا ›› و بین علم پیامبر(ص) به فتح مکه و آنچه در مورد قتال با ناکثین، قاسطین و مارقین رخ خواهد داد، وجود ندارد زیرا نهایت دلالت آیه نفی علم به رخدادهای فرداست ولی اگر این علم به جهت اعلام (آگاهی دادن) خداوند باشد، دیگر مشمول آیه نیست، بنابر این جایز است که خداوند، نبی (ص) را از حوادث آینده آگاه سازد."
