"Section Three will discuss the most important prerequisites for sustainable development in the Muslim countries in the light of the contribution of the Islamic economics’ literature. Key words: sustainable development, environment, distributive justice, policy recommendations, prerequisites. Reviewing the latest theoretical and empirical study on the relation between the rate of bank profits and the macroeconomic variables such as savings, investment and inflation, this paper explains that although the liberalization of profit rates is the most suitable way to achieve equilibrium rates but considering Iran’s distinctive economic condition the determination of profit rates on short-term temporary basis seems inevitable.
