From the participants' point of view, the legal system lags behind the life world of women and has gaps and defects in the field of women. With the prevalence of patriarchy, discrimination and prejudice in the legislative environment, the spirit of the laws has also become masculine and can less protect women. According to some of them, the law is in accordance with the traditional society and the legal system drafts laws without deep research and attention to the lived experience and communicative action of women. In this investigation, all 25 participating professors believed that the legal system has paid little attention to the life world of women and lags behind it.

Statement of the Problem Iranian women (especially residents of large cities) have become active agents of change with the great transformations of cultural and social structures in the new lifeworld and with their presence in social and economic activities and gaining self-awareness and engaging in rethinking their identities and civil rights.
From 25 professors with a doctoral degree (political science, sociology, jurisprudence, anthropology, philosophy, psychology, Islamic jurisprudence and foundations of law) and full professorships at various universities in Tehran, in-depth interviews were conducted to enable researchers to understand the relationship between the values of women’s lifeworld and their acceptance of the civil legal system from the perspective of knowledgeable women.
From the perspective of participants in the lifeworld, modernity, with “structural changes” (political, economic, technological, and social), “changes in the traditional function and gender role of the family,” “Western thoughts and ideas” (influence on women’s thinking and a factor of doubt in the legal system), “the project of spreading Western culture and soft warfare,” “patriarchy,” the possibility of “traveling abroad,” “industrial and modern cities,” “the invasion of feminist ideas,” “changes in the kinship system” (lack of support from relatives), and with “the social presence of women and their entry into the public sphere” have provided the causal conditions for the delay of the legal system from the lifeworld.
