خلاصة:
This article aims to elaborate on the conditions for the development of common theoretical challenges of political ideologies and to examine ways to overcome them. It discusses several key ideas: 1) Political ideologies, due to the inevitable evolution of their motivational and cognitive foundations, require transformation. Failure to transform or inappropriate transformation leads to dogmatism or theoretical alienation. 2) The emergence of dogmatism and theoretical alienation among the bearers of a political ideology is the result of the functioning of five variables: 1) the entry of rigid and alienated thinkers into the ranks of the bearers of an ideology, 2) the influence of power relations, 3) limited communication, 4) irrationality, and 5) a mental tendency to maintain stability. 3) The solution to combatting dogmatism and theoretical alienation at the individual and group levels is to confront the five aforementioned variables, and at the level of political governance, to expand democratic relations. To empirically examine the above ideas, the ideology of the Islamic Revolution of Iran has been the research sample of this article.
ملخص الجهاز:
Based on this, in defining this intellectual phenomenon, it can be said that theoretical alienation occurs when the motivational and cognitive foundations of an ideology of a social group undergo transformation and are drawn to align with the space and social position of another.
It should be said that the “revolutionary reading of Shiite Islam,” in response to the first existing question (in the order presented in this article), which concerned the nature of the correct position against the process of secularization of the royal government of the Shah, recommended incorporating religion into social management through revolution, and in fact, the desired method of social transformation (revolutionary method) was in clear alignment with the dominant global discourse.
In fact, due to the dominance of liberalism, priorities, values, people’s view of the roots of problems, and their view of existing solutions, all underwent a transformation, and the changes that occurred, in relation to our discussion, challenged previous views on various issues (which were considered the cognitive foundations of the Islamic Revolution).
2) Ways to immunize the ideology of the Islamic Revolution against the dangers of dogmatism and alienation: Based on the theoretical reflections mentioned, the solutions to the subject of this discussion should be considered separately at the individual and group level on the one hand and at the level of political rule on the other hand.
