If we consider Descartes as the beginning of modernity, having borrowed his proposition of doubt from Avicenna's suspended man, and with the distinction between subject and object and the superiority of the subject over the object, brought about transcendental philosophy and considered modernity with three characteristics: anthropocentrism, rationalism, and secularism (not anti-religion) as the foundation and pillar of existence, where man is the final arbiter, and consider this period as the space of modernity, then Heidegger should be considered the beginning of postmodernism.
Heidegger's key concept is "forgetfulness of being," which criticizes Western culture and philosophy and modernity in general, and in fact moves from being and Dasein to humanity and from existence to existent.
To this end, in this article An attempt will be made to briefly explain Heidegger's views and opinions, and then to address the impact of his thought on some Iranian intellectuals, including Ahmad Fardid and Reza Davari Ardakani.
Heidegger severely attacked the belief in science during the modern era and believes that this concept heralds man with scientific and philosophical certainty and accurate knowledge of issues such as epistemology and methodology, narratives rooted in modern scientism.
