This article has utilized the descriptive-analytical method. The rule of the children and the establishment of the Day of Judgment are two perspectives that Madelung proposes regarding the world after the Mahdi#, and he considers the establishment of the Day of Judgment to be in agreement with most narrations. 1 However, by examining the works of Wilfred Madelung, it can be understood that he has committed this major mistake less often in his research compared to most orientalists; because he has had a special view of the ancient and original Shia sources and was familiar with the fundamental distinction of the works of great Shia scholars; for example, in the book 'The Making of Shi'a Islam' (Schools and Sects of Islam in the Middle Ages), he has benefited from the works of the following authors: six books by Sheikh Saduq, two books by Sheikh Mufid, six books by Sayyid Murtada, five books by Sheikh Tusi, four books by Qadi Nu'man, three books by al-Kashshi, three books by al-Muhaqqiq al-Hilli, two books by Sheikh Hurr al-Amili, and the works of prominent Shia scholars such as al-Kulayni, al-Najashi, al-Nawbakhti, Sa'd ibn Abd Allah al-Ash'ari, al-Ya'qubi, Qadi Nurullah al-Shustari, Allamah Majlisi, and others.
1 The World After the Mahdi# Madelung, in the article "Qa'im Al-Muhammad" 2 , which addresses a portion of Shia teachings and beliefs regarding the Imam of the Age , writes regarding the world after the Mahdi#: Although some traditions speak of the reign of a son of the Kaim, the majority affirm that there will be only forty days of turmoil after the passing of the Kaim until the Resurrection and the Judgment.
