خلاصة:
The present research aims to explain the role and position of contentment as one of the most important moral virtues in the policy of the resistance economy from Islamic sources, using an analytical-descriptive method by employing verses and narrations, and to answer the question: what position does contentment hold in Islamic verses and narrations and what is its relationship with the resistance economy? The hypothesis of the present research is that this moral virtue, based on the desirable results it pursues, can be an important indicator in achieving the goals of the resistance economy. By examining verses and narrations, it was found that factors such as family, individual, cognition, and beliefs are among the most important factors in the emergence and strengthening of contentment in life, which, if realized, will lead to desirable results such as sufficiency, satisfaction, health of religion and body, chastity, asceticism, guidance, and salvation. In a resistance economy, the most important action is the reform of the family consumption pattern. On the other hand, the consumption pattern in Islam, presented under the title of contentment, leads to achieving economic welfare and prosperity, which brings about desirable results and effects such as the satisfaction and pleasure of Almighty God, guidance, and physical and spiritual health. Also, from the perspective of economic theory, contentment on one hand provides sufficient resources for financing investment and strengthening production and employment through increased savings, and on the other hand, by providing more resources for interest-free loans (Qard al-Hasan), it can meet the consumption needs of low-income groups and consequently play an effective role in reducing poverty, improving income distribution, increasing economic growth, and reducing the unemployment rate.
