خلاصة:
Power and security are considered the most key concepts in international relations; however, these two concepts can also be considered the most complex concepts of this scientific discipline. This issue, especially in light of the dynamics of international politics and the paradigmatic transformation of this science in the era of globalization—in both methodological and substantive domains, the emergence of multiple non-state actors, economic, political, and security interdependence of countries, and the development of information and communication technology—has caused us to face very diverse and multifaceted forms and dimensions of power and security and different approaches in explaining and interpreting them today. Accordingly, despite the hegemonic dominance of the realism approach in international relations, the definition of power and security as force-oriented capability has been criticized and conceptually deconstructed. In this regard, concepts such as soft power, smart power, soft security, security core, smart defense, etc., have been proposed. Given this issue, the main goal of the present research is to re-examine the paradigmatic transformation of power and security in the era of political globalization and its impact on the national security of the Islamic Republic of Iran. This article attempts to answer the question: what are the most important impacts of the transformation of the concept of power and security in the era of globalization on the national security of Iran? The findings of this research, conducted using a descriptive-analytical method, show that the substantive transformation of power, security, and threat in the era of globalization from a negative and state-centered approach to a positive, human, and transnational approach has created new challenges and opportunities for the national security of Iran, and failure to pay attention to the transformation of these concepts and pursuing national security strategies based on traditional definitions will not provide the national interests of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the era of globalization.

In previous discussions, we mentioned that the end of the Cold War and the intensification of globalization waves have caused a fundamental change and transformation in the concepts of political science and international relations, including 200 power, security, and threat; it is within the framework of such a transformation that today, military elements and tools have largely lost their decisive role in ensuring the national security of countries, and other factors, including cultural and economic characteristics and capacities, and generally all non-military capabilities of a country in influencing other countries, have contributed to maintaining national security.
