Globalization is one of the effective concepts and phenomena in socio-political life in both domestic and foreign aspects and in various economic, political, cultural, and social fields. The impact of this phenomenon in different societies is evident, and Iranian society has not been an exception to this rule. This writing, with a look at the semantics of globalization and reformism, examines the effects of globalization on the reformist discourse, with a discursive analysis in Iranian society in the political, cultural, and social fields. In this article, it is claimed that the reformist discourse, influenced by globalization, has sought to explain its identity in light of the components of globalization and their localization, while taking Islamic aspects into consideration.

In this writing, an attempt has been made to examine the effects of globalization on the reformist discourse in the Islamic Republic of Iran, with an emphasis on three domains: political, cultural, and social.
As for why the ideal of democracy can respond to internal needs, they consider the most important need of Iranian society to be the political stability of the country in today's changing global situation, and within the framework of democratic mechanisms, the possibility is provided that the diversity of thoughts and tastes existing in society is not ignored.
The formation of The phenomenon of June 23, 1997, and the emergence of the Reformist movement, headed by Mr. Khatami in the political arena of Iran, was not only a type of response to the necessity of undergoing transformations and the demands of Iranians to exit the disordered domestic political, economic, and social situation, but also an effort to overcome Iran's international isolation by employing the principles of tension reduction and confidence building in relations with other countries.
But the reformist current intended in this writing does not fear using modern concepts and defines itself through those concepts, but as mentioned here, it is not the case that they are entirely influenced by the dominant Western and global culture; rather, while being influenced by the global discourse, they also take Islam into account.
