What increased my desire to care for it and publish it was that this became evident at the beginning of his discourse; for after the praise and peace, he began explaining the reason for his commentary on this poem during a period in which he was suffering from the loss of friends and loved ones; thus, he hopes for salvation from the affliction and trials upon him, in addition to attaining benefit and usefulness for students, and gaining reward and recompense; so he says: "To proceed; after I finished the interpretation of the Qur'an, I had the opportunity to seek intercession through the Beloved of the Most Merciful and his Household, may they be pleased, especially through him who is the lush tree of the guardianship (Wilayah) and the fruit of the branches of Prophethood, namely Ali ibn al-Husayn the Younger, who is called the Master of the Worshippers in the Gathering, by commenting on the Farazdaqian poem in his sublime praise to escape from this affliction with this exalted masterpiece, until Allah granted me, in the seat of the Caliphate and the center of guardianship, through this very perseverance and determination; so I sought it among the eminent ones, and found it from some of the dear ones, may Allah Almighty make him dear in both worlds; so I began its commentary amidst the loss of friends and loved ones on the second of Muharram al-Haram, and concluded it on its sixth with the help of the All-Knowing King; so, by the praise of Allah, it came as a sufficient commentary to solve problems and an adequate one to resolve complexities.
