خلاصة:
The value of every knowledge depends on its subject, and given the greatness of the True God, the knowledge of God will be among the most important of knowledges. Various religious sects have chosen different methods and beliefs in this regard; some, in an attempt to glorify the knowledge of Allah, consider it unacquirable and a divine emanation. They consider the intervention of reason and the effort of the intellect for this knowledge to be impossible and futile; however, another group considers the acquisition of divine knowledge to be among the most important human duties and obligations and the first necessity. In this article, an attempt has been made to prove the acquirable nature of the knowledge of Allah and its necessity through rational and traditional reasons, and to critique the theory that knowledge is solely an emanation.

Mulla Sadra also considers true faith to be knowledge of God, His attributes, His actions, His kingdom and dominion, as well as knowledge of the Resurrection and its stages and stations, such as resurrection, gathering, the Book, the Scale, the Reckoning, Heaven, and Hell, and believes that whoever possesses such knowledge has certainly been granted abundant good and great grace.
Thus, in the view of Mulla Sadra, faith is not merely an outward acceptance and verbal profession; rather, true faith must, in addition to verbal profession, necessarily be accompanied by heartfelt belief and the light of recognition and knowledge of God, His attributes, the Prophet, the divine book, and the Day of Resurrection.
Traversing the paths of attainment is made possible by two things: "faith" and "gnosis," which if these two are not present and only philosophical reason exists, a human can never reach that degree by walking the correct path of spiritual journeying and with the help of God, and benefit from the lights of the world of the unseen; as Sadra says: Philosophers and possessors of theoretical intellect are excluded and isolated from the perception of the affairs of the other world, and the scholars of the outward (ulama al-zahir) among the people of Islam and the people of ijtihad also perform a summary affirmation and acceptance (without reflection and detail) and acknowledge everything that has been entered into the Sharia and which the Lawgiver has informed of.
