خلاصة:
In the fourteenth century AH, thinkers turned to interpretation based on the order of the revelation of the Quran. Their primary goal is to gain awareness of the concepts of the Quran based on the wisdom inherent in the gradual process of the revelation of verses; because God Almighty revealed the verses of the Quran according to the socio-cultural conditions of the era of revelation; however, for several reasons, it is not permissible to adopt this method of interpretation: first, with this method of interpretation, the divine wisdom in the arrangement of the verses and surahs of the Quran, which is known as the science of 'munasabat' (thematic connection) between the verses and surahs of the Quran, is ignored; and second, a precise order of the revelatory sequence of the surahs of the Quran, let alone its verses, is not available, and the Meccan or Medinan nature of surahs and verses is in the same state: some of the surahs of the Holy Quran were not revealed all at once; rather, some verses or the majority of them were revealed at one time and the rest at another time, and sometimes part of a surah is Meccan and another part of it is Medinan.

Introduction In the fourteenth century AH and the beginning of the current century, several Quranic researchers turned to interpretation according to the order of revelation; taking into account the fact that the verses of the Holy Quran were revealed gradually according to the conditions of the era of revelation, and this type of revelation was based on divine wisdom and contains very precious guidance regarding the educational methods of the Quran.
Assistant Professor at Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman/Member of the Research Institute of Islamic and Iranian Culture The present article intends to show that, for several reasons, it is not permissible to adopt this type of interpretation: first, one cannot yet achieve absolute and certain trust in everything that has been said regarding the order of Surahs and verses or their Meccan and Medinan nature; because there are various opinions and viewpoints in this regard, and the verses of the Holy Quran and even its Surahs have been arranged according to divine wisdom in a special way that, according to many Islamic scholars, is 'tawqifi' (divinely ordained).
The commentator reminds in his introduction that the order of the verses and Surahs of the Quran is 'tawqifi' (Mulla Huwaysh, 4/1, 25, 30, 32), and when the Companions consulted regarding its writing, Imam Ali (Karam Allah Wajhah) requested that it be arranged based on the order of revelation.
