خلاصة:
The issue of Jarḥ and Ta'dīl in ilm rijāl is one of the most important topics, whose importance is especially evident in the Ulūm of hadith and also in examining tradition's authenticity. In this sense, the higher the validity of tradition's Isnad is, the higher the probability of its acceptance and staying away from hadith harms (i.e. being fabricated etc.) increases. Many transmitters have been weakened by Sunni rijāl, and as a result of these weaknesses, a large number of authentic hadiths have fallen from the level of authority and have been reduced to a lower level of authority. Many of these weaknesses are due to reasons such as bigotry in religion, strictness, and other issues. The present article aims at using library sources to investigate the use of ambiguous jarḥ regarding the case of Hammād ibn īsā who weakened only because of the use of ambiguous jarḥ. Regarding the unacceptability of ambiguous jarḥ from Sunnis themselves, their weakening of this transmitter can be rejected and one can prove the authenticity of this transmitter. Moreover, the possibility of generalizing this topic about many other transmitters - who have been weakened by Sunnis in the same way - is also considered probable. In this sense, this generalization shows the necessity of revising some of the Sunnis' jarḥ and Ta'dīl.

In examining the opinions of Ahl al-Sunnah in the subject of Jarh and Ta'dil of Hammad, it has also been done in this manner: referring to the books of the critics and the transmitters of Hammad's narrations according to the chronology of their lives, and stating the text that those authors have mentioned regarding Hammad.
Another point is that Abu Hatim al-Razi, who is the critic (jarh) of Hammad, is himself one of the students and narrators of Yahya ibn Ma'in, whose greatness in biographical status has been extensively discussed; such that, quoting Ahmad ibn Hanbal, it is stated that "Yahya ibn Ma'in is the most knowledgeable of us in the science of Rijal" (Al-Dhahabi, 1425 AH, Vol. 2, p.
