خلاصة:
The present writing analyzes and critiques the article 'Imam Hussain (as)' written by L. Wihde Valeri in the Encyclopaedia of Islam Leiden. This article is dedicated to examining the position taken by Imam Hussain (as) regarding the peace of Imam Hassan (as). In this research, the doubts raised about the character of Imam Hussain (as) are clarified and critically examined from a historical perspective. To resolve these doubts, in addition to Sunni sources, Shia sources—which have received less attention from Orientalists—have also been utilized. The goal of this research is to clarify a correct image of the personality of Imam Hussain (as) and to prove his innocence from the accusations made against him, especially for researchers who have studied Orientalism, Islamology, and Imamology without bias. Western researchers have sometimes slipped in their use of Islamic sources and often show more attention to Sunni sources. Therefore, by examining both Sunni and Shia sources, this article provides a more accurate picture of the character of Imam Hussain (as) and his position regarding the peace of Imam Hassan (as).

Ibn al-Athir has narrated in Usd al-Ghabah: "Among those who were opposed to the peace and were averse to it, was Hussain, who said to his brother: انشدك الله أن تصدق أحدوثه معاويه وتكذب أحدوثه أبيك ؟ I adjure you by Allah, that you confirm the word of Muawiyah and deny the true word of your father?
" Abu al-Qasim Ali bin Hassan, known as Ibn Asakir (died 571 AH), writes in his book Tarikh: "Hassan said to his brother Hussain, 'I want to go to Medina, reside there, and hand over the Caliphate to Muawiyah, because tribulations have prolonged, blood has been shed, ties have been broken, and borders have become unstable.
Therefore, they went to Imam Hussain and said: Do not pay attention to your brother Hassan and this peace treaty, and rise up with your Shiites.
Sixth) The peace of Imam Hassan in Shia sources In referring to the great book Bihar al-Anwar, authored by the late Allamah Majlisi, Volume 44, which is in fact a large encyclopedia, no Shiite narration has been found that supports the claim of objection or disagreement.
