خلاصة:
Sheikh Safi al-Din Ishaq Ardabili is one of the prominent Sufis of the 7th century AH in Azerbaijan, who, with a social approach to Sufism and mysticism, has left a significant impact on the culture and civilization of Islamic Iran and played an important role in the history of Iran. Given his influence on Iranian-Islamic culture, this research aims to examine the nature of Sheikh Safi al-Din's social relations in connection with the Ilkhanid sultans, ministers, and emirs, based on the book Safwat al-Safa. The book Safwat al-Safa is the most primary and oldest existing book regarding the life, insights, and attitudes of Sheikh Safi al-Din Ardabili, written by Ibn Bazzaz Ardabili—a disciple of Sheikh Sadreddin, the son of Sheikh Safi al-Din. The research method used is descriptive-analytical, with information gathered through library studies. The results obtained from the present research indicate that the basis of the Sheikh's path is presence in socio-political arenas and playing an effective role in society; Sheikh Safi al-Din is among the masters of practical action (ahl-e amali) who, in contact with government officials, maintained moderation in balancing worldly and afterlife matters and adhered to a life with a social approach that does not have an ascetic/world-denying aspect.

Re-examining the relations of Sheikh Safi al-Din with the rulers and political figures of the Ilkhanid era (Based on the book Safwat al-Safa) 1 Niloufar Davoudi 2 Bahman Zahedi Abstract Sheikh Safi al-Din Ishaq Ardabili is one of the prominent Sufis of the 7th century AH in Azerbaijan, who, with a social approach to Sufism and mysticism, has left a significant impact on the culture and civilization of Islamic Iran and played an important role in the history of Iran.
Given his influence on Iranian-Islamic culture, in this research, we aim to examine the nature of Sheikh Safi al-Din's social relations in connection with the Ilkhanid sultans, ministers, and emirs, based on the book Safwat al-Safa.
The results obtained from the present research indicate that the basis of the Sheikh's path is presence in the socio-political arenas and playing an effective role in society; Sheikh Safi al-Din is among the practical masters (mashayikh ahl al-amal) who, in contact with government officials, observed moderation in combining the worldly and the hereafter and believed in a life with a social approach that does not have an anti-worldly aspect.
Therefore, a point that should not be overlooked is that the relationship of Sultan Abu Sa'id and his statesmen with Sheikh Safi al-Din and the Sufis of that era was more based on political interests and expediency, calculation, and benefiting from their spiritual support and influence among the masses than real devotion and belief (Movahed, 1401: 141).
