Understanding intellectual schools as one of the most important sources for the emergence of literary schools is an essential goal for understanding literary texts. In the West, various theorizations have long been used to analyze how the epistemological foundations of literary works function; however, in the East, not much attention has been paid to this point. This very lack of attention to theories and literary schools of Persian texts led us to study one of these intellectual approaches, which has been the epistemological basis for the most important Persian literary movement, namely mystical and epic literature, within a specific time period. The sixth century marks the beginning of an era in which the Ash'ari theological school became intertwined with a precious mystical literary heritage, and many mystic poets, by utilizing the principles and rules of this school, expressed their thoughts through literature. In this article, using a descriptive-analytical method, the way in which the foundations of this intellectual school are literary was explained with reference to literary texts, and it was found that the intellectual principles of the Ash'ari school are woven into the fabric of these texts, and without understanding them, a correct perception of these texts cannot be obtained. Furthermore, this research clarified that in Persian literature, intellectual literary schools such as the Ash'ari school can be designed and composed with their own specific foundations and rules, which provided the basis for the formation of the myth of texts such as: Hadiqat al-Sana'i, Mantiq al-Tayr, Masnavi Ma'navi of Rumi, and the Divan of Hafez.
