خلاصة:
Since ancient times, Iranians have had a special love and devotion to the Ahl al-Bayt of the Prophet (PBUH) and especially Imam Hussain (AS), and this interest has led them to hold 'religious ceremonies,' including the mourning ceremonies of Imam Hussain (AS), with specific rituals. The people of Borujerd also have different ceremonies for the mourning of Imam Hussain and its rain that are not seen in other parts of the country. Setting up a Saqakhaneh (dressing a room in black with specific rituals) is among their traditions in the first ten days of Muharram for mourning. This article was conducted using field methods and participant observation. The results of this study show that from the beginning to the end of setting up the Saqakhaneh, we encounter symbols and signs, each of which expresses part of the Ashura concepts and values and shows the creativity of the people given their social and climatic conditions in holding mourning ceremonies; also, the Saqakhaneh has functions such as neighborhood cooperation, mourning in the cold season, holding mourning under difficult political conditions, etc., which have led to its expansion and sustainability over time.

To keep the name and memory of Hazrat Abulfazl (AS) alive and to hold the mourning of Imam Hussain (AS), the people of Borujerd cover one of the rooms of the house with black cloth and, at a specific time, open the house to the mourners so they may enter and be hosted after the mourning.
