Purpose: This research seeks to identify positive factors and obstacles affecting the connection of young people with the mosque, and focuses on the young people who go to the mosque to investigate the factors and obstacles.Materials and methods: This study was applied in terms of purpose and quantitative in terms of execution method. The research population was young people aged 15 to 29 in Tehran, and the research tool was a questionnaire. The validity of the questionnaire was confirmed using the "preliminary test" and the Cronbach's alpha method was used to calculate the reliability.Findings: "The desirability of the imam of the congregation" is central among the factors of increasing the relationship with the mosque, such as the three factors of "the desirability of the building and facilities of the mosque", "access of families and young people to useful and attractive cultural products" and "the presence of famous figures in congregational prayers." They have the lowest impact among the factors.Conclusion: The findings of this research are consistent with the findings of previous researches and the impact of the lack of fit of mosque functions with the current needs of the people and the existence of a direct relationship between teaching prayer and the presence of young people in prayer and a direct relationship between place, time and physical facilities with the participation of young people. confirms

The results showed that "the desirability of the prayer leader (Imam Jama'at)" holds central importance among the factors increasing the connection with the mosque; whereas the three factors of "desirability of the mosque building and facilities," "access of families and youth to useful and attractive cultural products," and "presence of famous figures in congregational prayer" have the lowest impact among the factors.
6 In this question, mosque-going youth were asked that, in addition to the thirteen factors mentioned in the questionnaire, if there is another important factor they have in mind, they should specify it, and some of them pointed to the following factors: honoring and Indicator items for increasing the presence of youth in the mosque from the perspective of mosque-going youth Measurement level Attractive and youth-friendly implementation of prayer programs, eulogies, lectures, and Quran recitation in the mosque Ordinal Existence of active cultural institutions in the mosque Ordinal The mosque's involvement in secondary cultural, recreational, and educational activities Ordinal Providing access for families and youth to useful and attractive cultural products Ordinal presence of famous figures in congregational prayers (religious personalities, officials, artists, actors) Ordinal desirability of the mosque building (suitable geographical location, spacious, having a shoe storage area, with beautiful architecture and Ordinal sturdy, equipped with appropriate sanitary facilities and a good cooling and heating system) The index for decreasing the connection of youth with the mosque from the perspective of mosque-going youth includes 4 indicators or items as described in Table (4).
