Myths demonstrate the culture and way of thinking of people in ancient eras and are a speaking language of history from prehistoric times. Myth is a representative of the continuity of the cultural life of a nation and, in a sense, its history. A myth is a single narrative and a symbolic expression. This expression can be writing, imagery, performing arts, and even music. According to mythological texts, the Pishdadids are the first dynasty of Iranian history, whose lineage traces back to Keyumars. This dynasty of kings brought human civilization to the Iranians and were able to record fire, the use of metals and other living beings, and the capturing of demons in their achievements. This mythological period begins with Keyumars and ends with Garshasp. The history of myths is part of the ancient culture of peoples and civilizations. The Shahnameh is one of the great masterpieces of Iran's mythological history, which Ferdowsi, the great poet of Iran, composed into verse over a period of thirty years. Therefore, familiarity with myths and mythology can be considered important. In this article, an attempt has been made to present scientific findings related to the mythological history of Iran and Mesopotamia, as well as some mythological symbols.

Peacock: Solar; it is associated with the worship of the tree and the sun; it is a manifestation of immortality and longevity, love, the stars of the sky, and pride; in Islam, light, which "saw the soul spreading its tail like a peacock"; the eye of the peacock is concomitant with the eye of the heart; in Iran, peacocks standing on two sides of the Tree of Life are manifestations of dualism and the dual nature of man; the peacock also represents sovereignty and the Persian throne.
