The existence of emotional and social inconsistencies in the family, school, and workplace; facing numerous economic, academic, professional, sexual, and moral problems; mental anxieties and discomforts such as conflict with parents and teachers; important and fundamental decisions regarding choice of field of study and career selection, etc., are clear reasons and evidence of the necessity of using guidance and counseling services. Problems such as loss of control and running away from home, alcohol and drug abuse, increased learning, behavioral, and emotional problems, irresponsibility, suicide, and countless other problems that students face and require help with. In this article, we examine the role of counseling centers and counselors in resolving the problems and abnormalities of adolescent students so that by identifying the factors for success and failure of these centers, the effectiveness of counseling services can be increased and, in this way, effective steps can be taken towards raising a dynamic, healthy, and energetic generation.
