خلاصة:
One of the consequences of the oppressive Umayyad regime's rule over the Islamic society was that it exerted all its efforts to ensure Imam Hussain (AS) remained stranger and alone and attained martyrdom at the peak of his oppression. After the martyrdom of the Imam (AS), by taking his family and companions captive—most of whom were women and girls—they sought to flaunt this seemingly great victory in the most important centers of the Islamic world, namely Kufa and Sham, and, intoxicated by this horrific crime, committed all kinds of insults and humiliations against Aba Abdillah (AS) in order to ultimately extinguish the light of the Ahl al-Bayt as they believed; unaware that God is always lying in wait for the oppressors and grants victory to the truth through ways that the people of falsehood do not imagine. In the story of the captivity of the Ahl al-Bayt of Imam Hussain (AS), by the will of God, the tide turned against the Umayyads, and the captives of the Ahl al-Bayt—especially Imam Zayn al-Abidin (AS) and Hazrat Zeinab (SA)—not only endured the hardships and tribulations of the period of captivity without showing any weakness or cowardice, but also throughout the duration of their captivity, they made the call of truthfulness, estrangement, and the oppression of Aba Abdillah (AS) heard by the worlds and fulfilled the ideal that Imam Hussain (AS) was pursuing. In the first step, on the first day of captivity and among the people of Kufa, Hazrat Zeinab (SA) began to speak, and while introducing herself, she rebuked and addressed the people of Kufa, strongly condemning them and making them aware of the depth of the tragedy in which they were complicit. The sermon of Hazrat Zeinab (SA) appears with slight variations in numerous historical and hadith sources, which we discuss here in several separate passages by selecting the text of Al-Amali of Sheikh Mufid.[1] [1].
