In recent years, teaching history is one of the dimensions of social studies in the world today, which has been considered by various researchers and research in this field is increasing. Therefore, this article has been done with the aim of examining the evolution of published articles in the field of history education in Iranian education and, secondly, identifying new ways for research to develop this science in the field of futures research. The present study is a review based on which, Normagz databases, comprehensive humanities portal, University Jihad Scientific Information Center database, Civilica, Net Science, recipients, etc. using the keywords: History teaching in schools, textbook content analysis, history teaching in schools, history education resources, pathology of history education, role of media in history education, benefits of history education were searched. . All journal articles published from 6006 to 0400 were reviewed and analyzed. After studying and evaluating the content of the articles, research gaps and areas of interest were reviewed and analyzed. The research findings indicate that the main topics studied in the articles of the last fifteen years include; There were educational tools and teaching resources and the qualitative method was the most abundant. Research proposals also focused on new approaches and areas of history teaching in schools.

In conclusion, the authors of the article hope that the findings of the present article can be a guide for researchers in the field of history education for choosing more appropriate topics and utilizing modern methods of teaching history in schools, and it is suggested that a review of articles published abroad be conducted because foreign articles, due to their antiquity and diversity of topics, will be more comprehensive and practical resources for future studies.
