خلاصة:
Considering that the world is becoming increasingly interconnected and organizations are becoming more multinational and culturally diverse, it is vital and essential for individuals to possess the knowledge and skills to effectively face the challenges and requirements of a global society. The result of culturally diverse environments is that individuals encounter values, assumptions, desires, and expectations that are fundamentally different from their own values and assumptions. There is a belief that cultural intelligence explains why some individuals are more skilled than others in navigating culturally diverse environments. In this regard, the present research was conducted to investigate the relationship between cultural intelligence and the performance of employees at the Mazar-i-Sharif Coal and Electricity Factory. Data were collected from 86 administrative and service employees of this factory using a questionnaire. To measure cultural intelligence, questions from the standard questionnaire provided by Ang were used, and to measure performance, questions developed based on a review of existing literature in the field of performance were used; both sets of questions were provided to the professors in the form of a single questionnaire, its validity was confirmed, and its reliability was obtained as 0.953 using SPSS software. The results obtained from the Spearman correlation test showed that there is a relationship between cultural intelligence and performance, and among the dimensions of cultural intelligence (metacognitive, cognitive, motivational, behavioral) and performance. The priority of the cultural intelligence dimensions of the coal and electricity employees, based on the results obtained from the Friedman test, was as follows: motivational cultural intelligence, behavioral cultural intelligence, metacognitive cultural intelligence, and cognitive cultural intelligence.
