Knowledge of chronobiology (some times Biology), biological phenomena and their changes with the time is heavily studied. The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of chronobiology on occupational accidents in Gachsaran Oil and Gas Exploitation Company. The research method was descriptive-correlational. Statistical population consisted of all operating employees in Gachsaran Oil and Gas Exploitation Company with at least 5 years work experience and post graduate degree and organizational grade over 13 (including 700 people). Among them 223 employees was selected as the research sample. The measurement tool included a researcher-made questionnaire containing 70 questions to identify the impact of occupational events. After preliminary distribution of 30 questionnaires, Cronbach's alpha was calculated to be 0.81. The results show that in the company, the dimensions of "work fatigue" and "productivity or efficiency of working hours" have the highest mean in terms of respondents, respectively.

Based on available statistics, work-related accidents are presented as the third leading cause of death in the world, the second leading cause of death in Iran (after traffic accidents), and one of the most important health, social, and economic risk factors in industrial and developing societies (O'Connor, Mearns, & Flin, Bryden, 2000).
In connection with biological clocks and psychological time, research shows that individuals are sometimes grouped into a bipolar circadian version from morning to evening and have specific preferences and differences from each other; for example, the morning-evening type differs in a number of biological variables such as usual mealtime, performance, body temperature, cortisol level, and melatonin secretion, as well as psychological variables such as daily performance, stress coping, intelligence, cognitive deficits, attention, and motor functions.
The fact that biological clocks can recognize time without the presence of an external factor is very important, because a living being may find itself in conditions where external factors are absent, but the continuation of biological rhythm activity is vital (Zahedi, 1998) Researchers believe that the reduction of sunlight during winter creates a disturbance in the dominant biological rhythm of the body^1, disrupting the sleep-wake cycle.
- Swan3, Golden, Li Wang and Partch (2018) stated in their research that human body physiology is closely linked to environmental changes in the biorhythm cycle, which is created as a result of the Earth's natural cycles, and this issue causes various rhythms in the internal defense mechanisms of individuals and organization employees during different working hours.
