Velayat-e Faqih is one of the political thoughts of Imam Khomeini (RA), which was formed over many years by drawing from the jurisprudential foundations of Islam. In this political thought, the political guardianship of the Prophet (PBUH), the infallible Imams (AS), and their successors is mandatory. This principle emphasizes the necessity of political order and organization in the Muslim community and considers the political and religious guardianship of society to belong to that qualified Marja' al-Taqlid. Imam Khomeini (RA) believes in the direct divine legitimacy of jurists and sees no limitations in the powers and guardianship of the faqih. In his political behavior, Imam Khomeini believed in the overthrow of the Pahlavi regime and replacing it with the desired Islamic system. This article examines the subject of Velayat-e Faqih and the political behaviorism of Imam Khomeini (RA).
