The purpose of this research was to investigate the relationship between political behavior and decision-makers' rational approach on the organizational effectiveness of the staff of the Ministry of Sports and Youth. The statistical population of this study included all the official staff of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, with a total of 430 people. The statistical sample was 203 persons based on Krejcie and Morgan tables and a random sampling method was used. the data collection tool was a questionnaire designed by Religion and Sharfman to measure the attitude of political behaviors or rational approach in decision making process and Hamid's organizational effectiveness questionnaire. The validity of the questionnaires was verified by the professors and the reliability of the Cronbach's alpha was calculated for each of them was equal to the questionnaire for measuring the attitude of political behaviors or rational approach in decision-making (0.81) and organizational effectiveness questionnaire (0.78 ). The results showed that making decisions based on the rational process increases the effectiveness of the organization in comparison with the decision-making process of political behavior. When officials and experts are seeking information for important decisions and are trying to collect information about a problem or problem or opportunity and then make decisions, they are definitely on the way to achieving the organization's goals and the effectiveness of decisions. There will be significant improvements.

However, research that addresses the interactive effect of rational and political decision-making methods and organizational effectiveness in sports organizations has not been carried out.
Effectiveness, or effective attainment of goals, is the most important purpose and intention forming any organization or institution, and research findings show that the effectiveness of the employees of the Ministry of Sport and Youth has a positive and significant relationship with the extent of applying political behaviors in decision-making.
