In Iran, the formation of urban fabrics is influenced by all geographical and climatic, cultural and religious, historical and social factors. In Iran's tourism cities, urban life is indebted to the sea, and people's lives are intertwined with the sea. Coasts are considered part of the ecological identity of seaside cities and manifest themselves as a prominent and effective element in the spatial, visual, and physical organization of the city. Furthermore, given the role of tourism, the development and beautification of tourism spaces is considered one of the most important urban development programs for these regions. In this article, titled 'An analytical look at the role of establishing a tourism site in the Sarolat area of Chaboksar city,' the current situation is first examined and described, and then, based on the research topic, it is analyzed and evaluated. The variables under investigation, based on theoretical foundations and library and documentary studies, include: sense of place, identity, human scale, pedestrianization, diversity, visual proportions, climatic comfort, participation, nature-orientedness, and climatic comfort. Subsequently, spatial analysis is conducted to determine the design intervention zone for creating a tourism site, based on which the zones, axes, and centers of Chaboksar city are identified, and through spatial analysis, the intervention zone for creating the tourism site is located. Then, two options are defined as alternatives for designing the intervention zone, and subsequently, based on expert opinions regarding the investigated components, each option is scored. Finally, based on the TOPSIS method, the superior option is introduced, and suggestions are provided based on that superior option.

Therefore, in cities like Chaboksar, which has a strategic position in terms of tourism and natural potential, and whose general morphology is characterized by four forms (coast, plain, foothills, and even mountains), paying attention to these potentials and strengthening them can cause an increase in the quality of urban spaces; on the other hand, it can provide opportunities and facilities, especially for employment and income in this city, and play an effective role in the revival and vitality of this city.
Given the geographical characteristics governing the region, namely the Alborz mountain range and the Caspian Sea, Chaboksar possesses a special diversity in terms of tourism attractions.
Chaboksar, with an area of 12 square kilometers, is located in the geographical region of Gilan, which in terms of tourism has a strategic position for Gilan province.
Chaboksar is very rich in terms of various attractions, such that it possesses natural attractions like the sea, beaches, pristine forest landscapes, and summer pastures, as well as historical and cultural attractions like its authentic architecture, and even religious and economic attractions (weekly markets and flower and plant complexes) and farm tourism (Babaei Hemmati, 1382: 35).
