The Islamic Revolution of Iran, like other revolutions, was the result of the efforts and sacrifices of various groups and parties, each of which, with the intention of establishing their own beliefs, cooperated with other struggling groups to overthrow tyranny and restore the lost freedom and rights of the Iranian nation. Among the opposition parties to the Shah, the National Front, the Freedom Movement, the People's Mujahedin, the Tudeh Party, the Furqan Group, and the Islamic Motalefeh were mentioned. Each of these had a different history of struggle against the Shah, and the history of struggle for some groups even dates back to the first Pahlavi era. In this regard, the Freedom Movement, led by Engineer Bazargan, had realized more than others that the youth of the movement needed a dynamic ideological support that would allow for discussion with other groups such as the Tudeh Party. Finally, we have examined how Imam Khomeini, through his charismatic leadership, achieved unity among the struggling groups. In this article, we have used library and analytical methods for the necessary investigations.
