One of the topics raised in law is the discussion of citizenship rights, which is one of the important subjects of both religious and non-religious systems. Citizenship rights reflect the global ideal of justice and a society in which every human being can enjoy an honorable life accompanied by peace, security, and prosperity. These rights have emerged alongside the emergence of humans and have come into existence with them, because humans are beings who have brought their dignity from the Creator. The position of the rights and privileges of citizens is one of the important social, political, and legal components of the modern state in the contemporary world. The occurrence of a revolution in any society is accompanied by fundamental transformations and rapid changes in that society. The Islamic Revolution, with its victory, presented new structures, values, and definitions of legal subjects and concepts. One of these raised subjects was the rights of citizens. For this reason, this research attempts to examine the role and impact of international laws in the formulation of Iranian citizenship rights. Therefore, the question is to what extent have international laws influenced the citizenship rights laws in Iran? The research method in this study is descriptive-analytical, and the research indicates that citizenship rights laws in Iran, in most cases, were consistent with international laws and have been influenced by them.

By examining these legal articles, it can be seen that citizenship rights in Iran are influenced by international laws, including the Islamic Declaration of Human Rights; however, it is necessary to mention that there are other articles from these laws as well, but an effort was made to provide a summary of the most important cases.
