The present research is an attempt to examine the morpho-phonological prefixes of the Tati dialect of Takestan and analyze how morpho-phonological processes function within the framework of Optimality Theory. Morpho-phonological processes refer to those phonological changes that occur in a morphological context, i.e., at the boundary between morphemes, and have a phonetic motivation. The research method was analytical, and data were collected from Tati books, radio, and local networks. Linguistic variables were examined based on the type of phonological and lexical processes involved. Finally, based on the available data, it was concluded that in this language, the processes of deletion and insertion sometimes occur at morpheme boundaries; however, the process of deletion in prefixes is of a higher order than insertion. This indicates homorganicity or phonological conspiracy and actually shows that the ranking of universal constraints is valid in this dialect and that the existing constraints in the aforementioned dialect are aligned with universal constraints. This research adds to the linguistic knowledge base of linguists regarding the Tati dialect and assists researchers in better understanding the morpho-phonological processes of the Tati dialect and its alignment with the universals of this field.

Hiatus in this case is resolved by deleting the first vowel of the base; therefore, the ranking of the mentioned constraints and their related optimality tableau is as follows: (Refer to the page image) Tableau (23) shows that option a is the winner by satisfying the more important constraints ONSET and MAX-V (prefix); also, this option violates the STRUC* constraint three times, but since option b violates this constraint more frequently, option a is not eliminated by violating this constraint.
When the negative prefix /-̂ma/ is added to present tense verbal bases that begin with a vowel and are monosyllabic, a consonant is inserted to resolve hiatus so that the ONSET constraint is satisfied with the highest rank in the aforementioned dialect, such as: /̂ra.
