Addiction is one of the social harms that endangers the health of the individual, family, and society. Many factors are effective in the tendency toward drugs in youth; one of the most important of these factors is the family, and another is the inappropriate use of the internet; therefore, the aim of this article is to investigate the relationship between family and improper internet use with drug abuse. The search was conducted using the keywords addiction, drugs, Internet, and Family in domestic and foreign databases. The family is the fundamental basis and the cornerstone of society. Children learn the process of socialization in the family and receive the most influence from parents; therefore, one can point to the issue of the connection between family factors and children's tendency toward drug consumption. Another variable that is effective in an individual's tendency toward drug abuse is the improper use of the internet. Through the internet, young people become familiar with various types of drugs and how to use them, and access to drugs becomes easier through the internet.
