خلاصة:
Some speakers prefer or need to keep their words secret. Therefore، they developed a special language variety to communicate with each other without problem. This variety is called argot، and like other varieties has its unique phonological، morphological and semantic rules. To identify the word formation process of argot among Persian teenagers and adolescents، a field research was carried out among the 21 year-old students of Islamic Azad Unversity، Takestan branch. The identified word formation processes were coinage، extension، close interpretation، use of proper noun as generic، borrowing، use of antonyms، abbreviation، phonological segmentation، use of acronyms، compounding، clipping and blending
ملخص الجهاز:
Finally, the word formation processes obtained are: coinage, semantic extension, euphemism, transition from proper to common nouns, borrowing, auto-antonymy, abbreviation, phonological component, acronymy, compounding, shortening, and assimilation.
By proposing the hypothesis that the word formation processes present in the Persian secret language are divided into several global categories common in other languages, including coinage, borrowing, acronymy, blending, compounding, etc.
Hudson 2 (2000: 259) defines this method as expanding the semantic field of a word, and cites the word red as an example, stating that in addition to its original meaning, it refers to a person who has economic, political, and social thoughts.
An examination of the obtained data shows that the speakers of this type of language borrow existing words from the standard language and, by assigning a new meaning, introduce them as entries into their argot.
For example: Loanword Loanword with a different meaning from the source language Loanword with the same meaning as the source language Full Full modern person fashion well-built and beautiful person derived from: fashion model An examination of all loanword data in the present research shows that the only loanword that cannot be considered a combination of a Persian word and an English word is the word "shorti", which is obtained in Persian from short and the adjective-forming suffix "i".
6. Word with opposite meaning Another category that the author considers one of the unique word formation methods in the hidden language is the creation or invention of new words, which are used in an opposite context.
