خلاصة:
National security theories have been presented to ensure the security of state-nations in the international arena; however, it is essential that they be framed within strategic patterns. Furthermore, they should be organized in accordance with the designed patterns of laws in the field of national security and its provision. The present article pursues these two issues from a legal approach. To this end, we have introduced five important Western security theories and, alongside them, expressed the components of the Islamic security theory based on the foundations of Islamic thought. After that, we have addressed the types of strategic patterns and, by matching the patterns with the theories, examined the strategic pattern of each theory. Subsequently, by examining the general policies of the system, we have investigated and analyzed the strategic patterns of the Islamic Republic of Iran in providing national security in the various years following the revolution. What is certain is the movement of the Islamic Republic of Iran from hard security theories to soft theories and the movement from the Western discourse of security provision to the Islamic discourse. The present research shows that the full realization of the national security of the Islamic Republic of Iran depends on the establishment of a comprehensive pattern for providing national security based on Islamic thought, which is clearly manifested in the general policies of the economic, political, and cultural development program laws, especially the policies of the Fifth Development Plan law.
