The fast and unsustainable growth of megacities can naturally lead to the increase in the amount of crime. Human, the context of time and that of place are the major elements in the formation of crime. In this way, the geographical structure of the cities would naturally lead to different types of crime in different regions of a city. The current descriptive study aims at carrying out a survey on the aforementioned issue. The statistical society of the study includes 45 police officers in Sanandaj, Kordistan, police force. In order to collect data, a review on the documents on the history of crimes in the city of Sanandaj was carried out. It followed a survey amongst the a.m. police officers. It can be concluded that many factors affect people’s inclination to get involved in individual and group fights as it is a multi-dimensional issue. Social, economic, cultural, and geographical issues are effectively related to committing crime. It should also be mentioned that this type of crime is directly related to individual features of those who get involved in it, too.

On one hand, for the compilation of research literature has been carried out using the documentary review method; books and other resources related to the concepts of marginalization, environmental design, and the delinquency of conflict and strife, as well as through a precise review of files and records available in the police stations and outposts of Sanandaj County that were recorded and processed in connection with individual and group conflict crimes over a five-year period (from 2006 to 2011), the required information has been collected using the index card method.
Research Background Given the extensive and important impact that marginalization and crime environments have on crime rates, various perspectives from sociological and criminological viewpoints have formed or are forming, each of which in its own way has addressed the examination of spatial factors, deviations, and the identification of locations prone to delinquency in cities, and the effort to prevent and control the crimes resulting from them.
In this study, the attitudes of the respondents, who are mostly from the outskirts, were examined in 5 main dimensions: mental health, ethnic-tribal prejudices, legalism, access to facilities, and the individual's sense of belonging to the family, in order to prove the theoretical foundations of the research, and the results confirm the proposed theories.
