خلاصة:
Bashruyeh County is located in the northwest of South Khorasan province. In terms of natural position, its north and south are surrounded by the Salt Desert and the Lut Desert respectively, its east by sand dunes and moving sand hills, and its west by the Shetri mountains. For the first time, historians and travel writers such as Al-Muqaddasi and Nasir Khusraw made references to this area in the 4th and 5th centuries AH. During the archaeological investigations conducted in the year 1391 SH, a total of 165 historical artifacts were identified and introduced in this county, which possess great diversity. These artifacts include ancient castles, old houses, watchtowers, water cisterns and storage pools, mosques, bridges, caravanserais, mills, and ancient sites. Among these, the Karand ancient site, with an antiquity dating back to the Parthian era, is considered the oldest historical artifact. Additionally, the Ghal'eh Dokhtar Ragheh and the Tarnav Bridge, part of which belong to the Sassanid era, are among the beautiful and prominent landmarks of this county. The ancient artifacts of Bashruyeh were mostly built during the middle and late Islamic periods. According to historical texts and archaeological evidence, Bashruyeh was on the caravan route from Yazd to Holy Mashhad, and this route annually attracted a large number of pilgrims to the shrine of Imam Reza (AS). Therefore, two beautiful and large caravanserais along with a vast volume of storage pools and water cisterns, built to meet the needs of locals and pilgrims, can be seen in this county. In this research, field and library methods with non-probability sampling were used.
