خلاصة:
Political culture includes a specific aspect of general culture, which refers to the set of values, attitudes, and political knowledge that gives meaning to the political process of society. This article is based on research that attempts to examine the characteristics of political culture, its diversity, and its relationship with social factors in Golestan province. For the investigation, a statistical sample of 562 people was selected from the centers of the counties of Golestan province, and data were collected using two methods: quantitative (survey) and qualitative (semi-deep interview). The results of the research showed that the studied community has a diversity of political culture, and that four factors—level of education, social security, religion, and gender—relatively have the power to explain the changes and differences in the political culture of the studied community.

It is worth mentioning that given Inglehart's view that three domains—political (governance), economic, and social—have the power to explain the political culture of each society, it seems that the 20 percent explanation by social variables in the present research is relatively appropriate and reasonable.
He used various social and individual variables to explain the political culture distinctions of societies, including religion, social class, gender, marital status, level of access to mass media, occupational prestige, employment status, level of education, age, and especially generational groups.
Although Inglehart has neglected some variables that influence political culture, such as social security, in summary, the findings of this research show that the chosen theoretical framework, compared to other proposed theories including civic culture, political culture, and political development, possesses greater ability in explaining the political culture of the studied society.
This finding differs from the views of Almond and Verba or even Inglehart; because the aforementioned sociologists considered civic political culture to be specific to advanced industrial countries where a space with necessary civic political values, attitudes, and civic structures exists.
