One of the most prosperous periods of Iranian architecture was the Safavid era, and many works and buildings from this period remain. Studying and preserving these buildings for religious reasons is of special importance. The subject investigated in this article, namely the causes of color change in the yellow and green glazes of the tiles of the Imam Mosque in Isfahan, is a problem that can more or less be encountered in other works and buildings of the Safavid period. Although the patterns and decorations of the tilework of these buildings inspire admiration in every viewer, the existence of problems such as the subject investigated in this article shows technical weaknesses in the production of seven-colored tiles.

2- Microscopic observations To investigate the structural status of the healthy and degraded yellow and green glaze samples, they were observed via microscopy.
