This article, for the first time, provides a specialized investigation and introduction to the megaliths of Shahriar. The Shahriar site includes tombs, stelae enclosures, and a castle. Similar monuments to the Shahriar stelae exist in Iran and other parts of the world, which have also been introduced. The shape of the stone, height, stability, facial form, eyes, mouth, and also the presence of female gender among the stelae have been investigated. The stelae belong to the Iron Age II (1200-800 BC). The stelae have symbolic and memorial functions.

The Iron Age in Iran is divided into three periods: 1- Iron Age I (1450-1200 BC) 2- Iron Age II (1200-800 BC) 3- Iron Age III (800-550 BC), (Fahimi, 1381:40) Also, in this writing, the research background and the geographical location of the site are stated, and then the stelae are examined in terms of stone shape, stability, carvings, and facial components such as eyes, mouth, hair, and in some, hands.
4- Master's thesis in archaeology from Tarbiat Modares University by Ms. Vida Ebtehaj titled "Investigation of the Architectural Structure of Iron Age Megalithic Graves in Iran" (Case study, Shahriyer site in Ardabil province), which investigated the Shahriyer site, especially the graves, and the first season excavation report of Azar 1382 by Dr. Alireza Hejbarinobari, Associate Professor at Tarbiat Modares University, which is included in Ms. Ebtehaj's thesis.
