خلاصة:
In this article, the method of Hadith writing by Fayd Kashani (d. 1091 AH) in the book Al-Wafi has been examined. First, we have presented Fayd's method in extracting the chains of narrations (isnad) and then his services to the chains of Hadiths; such as completing incomplete chains, providing chains for mursal narrations, determining the names of the Infallibles in cases where they are mentioned by title or kunya, introducing some unknown individuals in the chain, the correct recording of narrators' names, and most importantly, correcting misspellings (tashif) and errors present in the chains of narrations. Then, Fayd's method in extracting the text of the narrations is presented. In this section, we have referred to the excellent categorization and arrangement in Al-Wafi and the correction of texts containing misspellings and errors in this book, and we have counted these items among the merits of this book.

First, we have presented Fayd's method in providing the chains of narration (isnad) and then his services to the chains of Hadith; such as completing incomplete chains, providing chains for mursal narrations, determining the names of the Infallibles in cases where they were mentioned by title or kunya, introducing some unknown individuals in the chain, the correct recording of the names of narrators, and most importantly, correcting errors (tashif) and mistakes present in the chains of narrations.
Fayd, while quoting narrative texts and also the words of great scholars in the commentary of hadiths, has not forgotten the spirit of criticism; for this reason, studying Al-Wafi familiarizes us with the method of scientific criticism of narrations.
For example, In Al-Faqih, a narration is quoted from Halaqam bin Abi Halaqam, but in the Mashyakha of Al-Faqih, there is no mention of Saduq's path to him; however, Fayd has provided this narration with a connected sanad (Al-Wafi, Vol. 8, p.
6. In Al-Kafi, a narration from Imam al-Rida (as) regarding the divine attributes and names is transmitted in a mursal (disconnected) form, and Kulayni himself explicitly states the irsal and the lack of connection in the sanad: "Ali bin Muhammad mursalan from Abi al-Hasan al-Rida (as)".
However, this is not the case; the Sheikh himself, in the book al-Istibsar,84 has provided the correct chain of the second narration as follows: "Muhammad bin Ahmad bin Yahya from Ahmad bin al-Hasan bin Ali bin Faddal from Amr bin Sa'id al-Madaini from Musaddiq bin Sadaqah from Ammar bin Musa from Abi Abdillah (as)".
