In the midst of this, compassionate and interested individuals who were interested in enlightening the younger generation thought of performing plays and made efforts in Husseiniyas, mosques, and schools, for which in many cases they were imprisoned and suffered at the hands of the previous regime for this very crime. Today as well, very thoughtful and brilliant youths who have risen from pure backgrounds can create plays from the fruitful lives of prophets, the companions of prophets, or the instructive and interesting stories of the Holy Quran and perform them for the people.
