From the perspective of sociologists, the family is a social unit resulting from the marriage of a man and a woman, which is completed by the existence of children.
First characteristic: In a balanced family, relationships are based on rights; essentially, marriage creates rights and duties, especially in relation to children, who, according to Islamic insight, are born as claimants and parents as debtors.
In a family consisting of a wife and a husband, and a child or children, there are a total of five types of rights and duties, and a balanced family is one that observes these five categories of rights and duties.
As stated by Martyr Motahhari, when God wants to carry out His tradition of preserving the generation in society, He makes a man and a woman who are strangers to each other so (Refer to the page image) infatuated with one another that you sacrifice your life and soul for something that, in terms of structure and form, possesses no artistic beauty whatsoever.
This family is unbalanced unless the father and mother are healthy, mature, and attentive, so they can look after their children and separate them from the crowds and bustle.
Fifteenth characteristic: For a balanced family, the father and mother should not be criminals in the home, there should be no impurity in that family, no debauchery and no addiction.
It is a mistaken thought to calculate that we should raise one child and then a second child, then a third child; in such a case, while harm is caused to the children, the father and mother must also spend their whole lives working hard.
