خلاصة:
In a sample of 47 outpatient patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder, the relationship between obsessive-compulsive symptoms and the components of anxiety, depression, and dissociation was investigated. The relationship between obsessive-compulsive and dissociative symptoms was more significant than the relationship between obsessive-compulsive symptoms and anxiety and depression, and in predicting the signs of this disorder, dissociation (cognitive component) had a more decisive role compared to the other two components.

Investigating the relationship of obsessive-compulsive symptomatology with the symptoms of other anxiety, mood, and personality disorders is the goal of the efforts of many research efforts have been conducted that have led to valuable findings, but in this field, many questions still exist that bring about the necessity of new research measures and the consideration of other variables.
The present research aims to test the overlap of obsessive-compulsive symptomatology with the components of anxiety, depression, and cognitive symptoms of schizophrenia, and to determine the relative contribution of each component in predicting these symptoms after removing the effects of other components in a sample of outpatient psychiatric patients suffering from obsession.
The correlations obtained in this research between self-report scores and anxiety and depression ratings are comparable to the findings of authors such as Beck and Steer (1991) and Sayre et al.
Table No. 2- Correlations of composite scores of anxiety, depression, and disorganized indices with obsessive-compulsive signs (refer to the page image) It might be assumed that having a larger shared variance between the composite indices of disorganized cognitive symptoms and obsession is due to the scoring method of these two components, as both were calculated based on self-report scores.
Therefore, to test such a theory, the correlation between the self-report scores of Beck's depression and anxiety components and the composite obsessive-compulsive index was calculated.
Final Analysis The results showed that in the outpatient patient sample, the indices of anxiety, depression, and disorganized cognitive symptoms have a significant correlation with obsessive-compulsive symptomatology.
