خلاصة:
As per the principles governing Allameh Mesbah Yazdi’s philosophical psychology, the ultimate perfection of man depends on the “intuitive apprehension of ontic poverty” or “the actualization of unconscious knowledge and the intensification of unmediated knowledge (ilm-e hozuri) of the self’s reality and its ontic connection with God Almighty.” The present research aims to investigate the role of “dhikr” (remembrance of God) in the course of soul’s development. Therefore, the fundamental question is: “How does ‘attention to God’ lead to the ‘intensification of the soul’s unmediated knowledge of itself and God’?” Another question is whether attention to the self strengthens or weakens the unmediated knowledge of the self. This is while Allameh Mesbah Yazdi’s statements contain arguments supporting both viewpoints. The goal of this descriptive-analytical research is to answer these questions based on his specific principles. The findings indicate a kind of agreement between attention to the self and attention to God, such that the strengthening and intensification of unmediated knowledge of the self also entails unmediated knowledge of God. Therefore, attention to the kernel of the self is compatible with the soul’s development, while attention to other levels is incompatible with it.

29-32), and on the other hand, the evolution of the soul, according to the philosophical system of Transcendent Wisdom and the principles accepted by Allameh Misbah Yazdi, is contingent upon presence-based self-awareness, which necessitates, or rather is the very essence of, the intensification of presence-based knowledge (ilm al-huduri) of God (Misbah Yazdi, 1394A, p.
On the other hand, according to his other statements, the way to strengthen and intensify presence-based knowledge of the self is attention to God, focusing on His remembrance, and cutting off attention from the self: "The human soul is created in such a way that its direction of movement is toward that to which it develops attachment and attention" (Misbah Yazdi, 1390-1391, p.
