خلاصة:
Some of the orientalists believe that the holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) is not the messenger of a new religion، but he is a Christian preacher and he was ordered to follow the Christians. Yusuf Dorrah al-Haddad is of the people who tries to consider the Prophet (p.b.u.h) as a Christian and even their Chief. Some of Haddad's reasons for this claim are: the content of some verses of the Qur'an، learning the ritual of Christianity with Bahira the monk، learning the ritual of Christianity with Waraqa، starting the Prophet's Mission as a Christian and the acceptance of its authority، the Prophet's not-being an illiterate person and the conversion of the name of Christianity to Islam. Using descriptive-analytic method، this research firstly outlines the views and reasons of Yusuf al-Haddad on the Christianity of the Prophet (p.b.u.h.) and then، by Qur'anic، rational and historical proofs and evidences، criticizes his views and reasons and proves their incorrectness.
ملخص الجهاز:
Some of Haddad's reasons for this claim include: the content of certain Quranic verses, learning the Christian faith from Bahira the Monk, learning the Christian faith from Waraqa, the Prophet (PBUH) being sent as a Christian and accepting its leadership, the non-unlettered nature of the Prophet (PBUH), and the changing of the name of Christianity to Islam.
He also believes that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) was in the presence of Waraqa when he learned the Arabic translation of the Nazarene Gospel and, ultimately, Muhammad (PBUH) was sent according to the manner of the Christian faith to call people toward the Torah and the Gospel.
The views of Durrah Haddad regarding the adaptation of the Quran from previous books have also been raised by some other Orientalists, causing the history, tradition, and biography of the Prophet (PBUH) before and after his mission to be distorted, and creating doubts through books, articles, and public media, and consequently, making the Quran the target of their poisoned arrows; therefore, the present research, by examining and analyzing the views of Yousef Haddad based on his most important book on this matter, namely "Al-Quran Da'wat Nasraniyah," and by employing a descriptive-analytical method and library tools, engages in a scientific critique of his opinions.
According to Yousef Haddad, the intended meaning of the guidance of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in the verses of Surah "Ad-Duha" refers to his conversion to Christianity along with baptism at the hands of the monk Bahira, and this is a hidden Quranic historical truth.
