خلاصة:
To defend their hypothesis the proponents of religious pluralism have resorted to many reasons including Holy Qur’an. The author has sorted and categorized and criticized their Quranic arguments which consist of twenty verses and five category as under: 1- Islam as the absolute submission; 2- the plurality of religion as the will of God; 3- Using the term serat ul mostaqim as indefinite article (nakera); 4-tawhid and good deed as the criteria for guidance; 5- praising followers of heavenly books
ملخص الجهاز:
Pluralists believe that from the perspective of the Quran, Islam has a general meaning, namely absolute submission to God, which includes all religions, especially the religions of the People of the Book.
(یونس: 84) Some contemporaries in past decades have cited the above verses (Bazargan, 52:1350, Soroush, 1375: 336; Khoramshahi, 1372: 542) «إِنَّ الدِّینَ عِندَ اللَّهِ الْإِسْلاَمُ»، (آل عمران (3): 19) Some have interpreted Islam in the above verse, like the previous verse, as absolute submission and have attempted to deduce the truthfulness of multiple religions from it.
For this reason, the Quran considers them disbelievers in the Divine verses and deserving of punishment, and emphasizes that their sole path of guidance is restricted to accepting the Sharia of Islam.
However, regarding the argument of the proponent who claims that the aforementioned noble verse indicates that if God had wanted, He would have placed people in a single Ummah, meaning upon one true religion, and He had this power, but since He did not, it follows that the plurality of religions is the Divine will; in analyzing this, it must be said that the meaning of "شاءاللَّه" (God willed) is like the "شاء" (willed) in the mentioned verses, which refers to ontological and compulsory will, not legislative will.
The verse under discussion, "وَلَوْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَجَعَلَکُمْ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً", points to this very fact: that if God had wanted, He could not have abrogated the previous laws, but everything, including abrogation and which heavenly book is "Muhaymin", depends on the Divine Will.
