Abstract:
One of the broad topics in the field of Quranic history is the discussion of writing and its collection. Most Islamic scholars, despite accepting the writing of the Qur'an in the time of the Prophet, have traced the emergence of a single, official Qur'an to the Ottoman period. The importance of addressing the Ottoman Mus'hafs, analyzing the validity and examining its doubts and suspicions will be doubled due to the disappearance of most of the common Mus'hafs of the time of the Companions, the agreement of the Companions and the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) with the monotheism of the Mus'hafs and the prevalence of Ottoman editions until today. . The opposition of the Companions, the existence of errors, differences and changes in the Ottoman Mus'hafs, and the differences between the Mus'hafs of the Companions and these Mus'hafs are among the significant doubts in this field. Most of these doubts have been raised by new Muslim and non-Muslim scholars as a re-examination of existing narrations and reports with a historical approach that undermines the credibility of Ottoman musafirs and ultimately the existing copies of the Qur'an. This article, with a critical approach and descriptive-analytical method, while reporting these doubts, reviews and examines each of them. The findings of this article show that since the opposition of people like Ibn Mas'ud was based on special instincts, the mistakes and differences of the Ottoman musafirs by sending qaris along with the musafirs were compensated, the claims of these thinkers were baseless and were not considered comprehensive.
