Abstract:
The purpose of this research is studying of the effect of control factor from Schoenfeld’s view on tenth empirical grade students’ errors reduction in solving problems related totrigonometric ratios based on Newman’s error analysis model in Freidan County in Isfahanprovince. Control from Schoenfeld’ view means how to select and use appropriate resourceand strategies that help solve the problem. The Newman error analysis model has fivehierarchical stages which include reading, understanding, transforming, and processing andwriting skills. Based on this model, one needs to follow these steps in solving the mathematical problem, and any error in each of these steps prevents him from reaching the appropriate answer. This research is applied in terms of purpose and quasi-experimental in terms of way ofimplementation. The statistical population of this research included all mail students of thetenth grade in Freidan County in the academic year of 1396-97. The findings of this research showed that strength of control skill from Scheonfeld’s view, significantly reduced the error of reading, understanding, and transformation stages, but there was no significant reduction in the processing and writing stages. Also the most number of errors in the pre-test were related to the stages of transformation and understanding, while for the post-test were related to the transformation and processing stages.
